Outreach Activities

Together as a congregation, the Zion United Reformed Church…

Openly Invites Everyone to Our Sunday Services

God has provided us with His Word and instructed us to share it broadly with the world around us. When we gather for public worship services on the Lord’s Day, we do so with a desire that many will come and hear the law of God and the gospel of His grace. We will never close our doors to visitors and we provide a warm welcome to all who come through the doors of the church building. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)

Seeks to be a Good Neighbour

As a church which gathers in the central location of Sheffield, the Zion URC is cognisant of its role as a neighbour within the community. We enjoy giving assistance and support to our neighbours when the need arises and hosting neighbourhood bbqs and events in the Sheffield Park.

Supports the Ministérios de Vida Events for Mexican Migrant Workers

Our region has a large number of foreign workers who come to Southern Ontario on a temporary work visa as labourers in the agricultural industry. For several years, the Zion URC has partnered with three other churches to hold Saturday night soccer events and Sunday worship services.

Hosts a Vacation Bible School Outreach Program

Every summer, the church building is transformed as we seek, through God’s Word, Bible lessons, singing, crafts and other fun activities, to show the gospel to the children of our congregation and to reach out to those who don’t regularly attend a Bible believing church.

…and more!
